Benson Thai

Benson teaches guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, music theory, and recording.

He is a Connecticut native who has been playing music for over ten years.

Benson holds an associate's degree in fine art from Northwestern Connecticut Community College and a BA in film and English literature from the University of Hartford. There, he also minored in music at the Hartt School concentrating in areas of music theory, jazz guitar, and sound recording.

As a guitarist, Benson primarily plays instrumental arrangements of jazz and pop standards in a style he describes as "part Chet Atkins, part Joe Pass, and part Robert Johnson."

Outside of music, Benson is a filmmaker, writer, podcaster, audio engineer, and works at West Hartford Public Library.

In his spare time, Benson likes watching movies, building computers, and listening to podcasts.
